We believe there are 4 Foundational Components (CORNERSTONES) that make up a player’s game.

1. The way a player chooses to think or the MENTAL side of the game
2. The swing or stroke TECHNIQUE a player applies
3. The EQUIPMENT a player utilizes (is it properly fit for them)
4. The players PHYSICAL condition (what are they physically capable of)

In the middle of the 4 Foundational Components sit the 4 Key Areas of each players game. They are:

Putting
Less Than Full Shots
Approach Shots
Driving

Every shot a player takes on the golf course falls into one of the Key Areas. The 4 Foundational Components influence each of the 4 Key Areas. Therefore when working on one of the Key Areas of your game, (example: Putting) you have to identify which Foundational Component you’re actually working on. Is it your Technique? Your Equipment? Your Mental approach? Or could it be a blending of multiple Foundational Components? As Coaches, we help each player identify where they are in this equation so that they practice smarter and improve faster.
